Automobile Markets have been flooded with various Brands of Additives. People keep trying and switching various brands and this story never ends. Sooner or later people lose trust and end up making an opinion that Additives don’t work in the long run.
Here we try to explain why it happens!
Engine additives available in market work on 3 major categories:
- Cleansers – Some additives are great cleansers and clean up the engines and gives fresh improved performance. Cannot use frequently as every cleanser is corrosive in nature. Frequent use will destroy the engine. On the other hand, as impurity builds up, additive performance will disappear.
- Coating technology – It’s the most popular one. Ceramic, Moly, Polymer, Titanium, Molybdenum and many more. They coat the clearances of old engines giving them power and boost. But scientifically, anything that coats, under heat and friction will wear out. Now coating is uniform but wearing out process is very random. This results in many times weird performances by an engine. Now the user might think additive is duplicate or adulterated. Sooner or later coating will disturb engine anatomy and cheap coatings will destroy engine very fast.
- Viscosity– Certain additives are increasing viscosity of engine oil to reduce clearances and giving a feel of improved power but it lasts a short while and more viscosity creates mechanical losses. The engine may face heating issues.
Polytron is the only petroleum classified additive which treats engine metal by metallurgy and absolutely no coating. When added to any engine brand, new or old will give engine strength and making it sort of wear-proof. So metal wear reduces dramatically. No wear, no ageing of the engine, and thereby no ageing issues like Heating, Vibrations, Torque Loss, Power Loss etc
Used oil analysis is the way to check the power of any lubricant. Rest all ways are just emotional enthusiasm!
